PTFE, polytetrafluoroethylene, is a flexible, Nickel free material. It is soft, flexible and feels very comfortable even in new piercings. PTFE is completely non-reactive, which means that is does not interfere with the healing process and it cannot irritate your piercing. PTFE piercings can also safely be used during medical procedures, such as x-rays, ultrasound, MRI, etc.
PTFE can be autoclaved up to 230 °C (446 °F). **The acrylic balls on both ends are NOT autoclaveable. Please remove them before autoclaving**
